To the NBC Writing Program,

My name is Connor Pritchard, and I am the co-creator of Workaholics(Comedy Central) and co-creator/showrunner of Let’s Get Physical(Pop TV). I also work part-time for Airbnb, hosting one of their Forbes’ featured Los Angeles experiences: The TV Writer’s Trip. Travelers from all over the world come to our weekend event to learn about the entertainment industry and work in a mock writer’s room.

I am writing to recommend Kathy Smith for the 2018 NBC Writing Program.

I met Kathy Smith in the spring of 2017 when she came in to interview for our Writer’s Assistant position on Let’s Get Physical. Her positive personality won me over immediately. We cancelled the rest of our interviews and hired Kathy that night. From the very first day in our all-male room, her work ethic, contagious laughter and creative insight were invaluable. As a female writer, Kathy shared the perspective we needed. Because we were short-staffed and behind schedule on Season 1, I had to give Kathy a creative workload that went above and beyond the responsibility of a writer’s assistant. She became an integral part of our writer’s room and rose to the occasion every single day with a big smile on her face.

Kathy is a great team player and would be a valuable addition to any room or writer’s program. She writes strong yet believable female characters because she’s a tough Midwesterner with a relatable point of view. She’s also very organized and excellent at anticipating problems before they happen, which saved me from what would have been countless showrunner headaches.

Most of all, she’s a genuinely happy person and a joy to work with. Her positive attitude is infectious. During our work together, she never let this tired, stressed out bastard get too down. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any more questions or need more Kathy Smith compliments. She’s the best.

Sincerely,

Connor Pritchard / Inside Center Productions

David Greenwalt, Executive Producer, Grimm, NBC

To Whom It May Concern,

My name's David Greenwalt and I co-created and was the Showrunner of Grimm (NBC) for 6 seasons, along with my writing partner Jim Kouf.

If you're looking for an assistant on your very funny show, I would like to recommend mine for the job.  Her name is Kathy Smith.  Kathy was my loyal assistant for Seasons 5 & 6 of Grimm, and she was a delight to work with.  Every day she had a smile on her face and handled each task with an upbeat attitude.  She's also extremely organized and wonderful at handling confidential information - for both the show and my own personal business.

I know comedy is her passion, and I believe she'd be a wonderful fit on any 1/2-hour comedy moving forward.

If you have any questions about Kathy, I'd be more than happy to answer them.  But I can say with certainty you'd be gaining a bright young woman with a hard work ethic.

All my best,

David Greenwalt
